What is Vinyl Wrap?

Vinyl Wrap has been growing in popularity for many years now and is taking over the vehicle customization world.  Known as Car Wrapping or Vehicle Wrapping, it is a process of transforming the colour and look of your car by applying large sheets of pressure sensitive vinyl film to each individual panel on the car.

Vinyl Wrap comes in many colours and completely transforms the exterior of your vehicle.  It can be applied on many numerous types of surfaces.  Vinyl Wrap is used most often on cars, trucks, boats, RV's, helicopters, planes, buildings - basically anything.  When applied professionally, it's often impossible to tell whether a vehicle is wrapped or if a special type of paint has been used.

Vinyl wrap can be applied to almost any surface including kitchens, cabinets, appliances and more.

What kind of Vinyl Wrap brands do we carry?

We use only the best, most reliable brands such as 3M and Avery Vinyls.  These vinyls are premium, top of the line, and have been designed for use on vehicles using paint-safe adhesive, malleability, and air-release features that make installation on your car as safe as possible.  Unlike a re-paint which will ruin the original value of your vehicle, a vinyl wrap will actually protect it!

How is Vinyl Wrap applied?

At Empire Kustomz we take the utmost care and precision when installing Vinyl Wrap on vehicles.  Many installers will claim pride in their disassembly process and state that vehicles must be disassembled for a good install.  Like Justin Pate (the wor'ds best and most influential vinyl wrapper) we disagree.  At Empire Kustomz, we be do our best to keep the disassembly process minimal.  Have you ever take apart IKEA furniture and put it back together?  Believe it or not, vehicles were NOT designed to be taken apart and put back together.

Is Vinyl Wrap removable?

Yes, it is 100% removable as Vinyl Wrap is not permanent.  Since it's removable this makes reapplying certain areas less costly and quicker since repainting and matching does not have to be performed.  Although wrap can be removed by yourself, we do recommend removal by our Vinyl Wrap Specialists at Empire.  If you do opt to remove it yourself be sure to use a lot of heat and wear rubber gloves.  Get a friend and choose a warm sunny day to take this on.

How long does Vinyl Wrap last?
